The Art of the Assist : Hands on Adjustment Workshop

This workshop is designed to enhance Pilates instructors' ability to use tactile cueing effectively, promoting better client engagement, alignment, and movement quality through respectful and mindful touch. The goal is to integrate tactile cues into Pilates instruction to deepen the mind-body connection and improve learning for kinesthetic learners.

Scoliosis Workshop for Pilates Instructors

Explore the intricacies of scoliosis and learn specialized Pilates techniques tailored for managing and improving this complex spinal condition. This course delves into the anatomy of scoliosis, emphasizing idiopathic types in mature skeletons. Participants will gain insights into effective strategies for addressing the unique challenges of scoliosis through directed breathing and specific exercise adaptations, enhancing both function and comfort.

Pain Theory Workshop : The Case of the Man Without Legs

This course will provide an overview of the autonomic nervous system and its evolutionary survival strategies. Mapping the different expressions of the vagus nerve, we explore both the anatomy and the lived experience of our bodies’ attempts at protection and connection.
Based on the most recent polyvagal theories and research, we suggest how creative, relational and body-based interventions can offer a trauma-sensitive approach to our movement practices.
